Express Care

Can I choose which Express Care products I use?

Absolutely! You can pick and choose by switching on the Express Care products your practice and patients need and switching off those you don’t. The Express Care suite is included as part of the GP Complete bundle, just be aware there is a payment processing fee of 1.59% + $1.77 (excl GST) for approved Express Care requests, which practices can choose to pass on to their patients. Do I need a specific Practice Management Software (PMS) to get Express Care?

No, there is no requirement to use a specific practice management software. Express Care is also available for non-integrated practices.

Is there a charge for Express Care?

Express Care comes included in our GP Complete bundle, plus transaction fees for approved requests. There’s a payment processing fee of 1.59% + $1.77 (excl GST) for approved requests, which practices can choose to pass on to their patients.

Healthengine may look to introduce a booking fee for approved repeat requests, in future which we expect practices to pass on in full to their patients.

As a Healthengine customer, how can I inform my existing patients about Express Care?

We’ve got you covered. Head to the Resources Section in Practice Admin to download a collection of in-practice marketing assets and collateral you can use to promote Express Care to your patients, starting with Medical Certificates. We also recommend using Healthengine’s Communicate add-on to send existing patients bulk SMS messages, letting them know of your new Medical Certificate services.

How do patients submit Express Care requests?

There are two ways patients can easily submit care requests from your practice, either via your website or through your Healthengine profile. When your practice activates and onboards the product, a button is automatically created and placed on your Healthengine practice profile. The patient is then required to click this button to start the request process. For your website, Healthengine supports practices by adding a link to the Express Care request form that can be directly displayed on your website.
