Frequently Asked Questions

Who is providing this service?

This service is delivered through a partnership between Healthengine and Chemist2u. Chemist2u in turn works with a network of specially selected local community pharmacies across Australia as well as local logistics and courier partners to provide fast, efficient delivery.

How much does it cost?

You will get charged the recommended PBS fee for any prescription medications, taking into account any concessions you may qualify for as well as your generics preference. You will currently pay no additional delivery or booking fee if you are in a qualifying area.

Do I need to be home to accept the delivery?

Yes, someone does need to be at home to accept the order. If the order was made using a paper prescription, the script(s) must be handed over to the delivery driver to return to the pharmacy.
Whilst It is important the person who made the order receives their medicine or prescription themselves, you can nominate a different adult in the household to receive the delivery. Please ensure they have any paper scripts to hand over to the delivery personnel.

Which pharmacy will supply my medications?

Upon entering your delivery address, you are connected to a specially selected local community pharmacy in your area which will dispense the medication.

Can I order all medications for delivery?

All prescription medication except for Schedule 8 medications (Drugs of addiction) are available for dispensing through this service.

Where can I see the pricing information for my medication?

Your script is reviewed and approved by our partner’s pharmacy team upon submission.
Once your scripts have been processed (this happens within 30mins from 8am – 10pm 7days a week), you will receive an SMS with a link review the order and individual medication pricing.
Please make sure to enter any concession card details, and whether you prefer generics when submitting your order, as this will affect the price.

What information do I need to order my medication online?

To save yourself time and have a seamless process ordering online, make sure you have the following information handy:

  • Medicare card
  • Concession card / Health Care card provided by the Australian government
  • Medicine prescription as prescribed by your doctor or prescriber.

How do I upload a script?
