To help you get to know the people at HealthEngine, please enjoy this series for the blog where we take you “Behind the Scenes at HealthEngine.”
Each week we’ll introduce you to one of our team members.
Jamsheed Wadia
Sales Manager – Practice Solutions (SME)
Tell us a bit about your day to day role:
I support a team of Practice Consultants who bring clinics on to the HealthEngine platform. This is focussed around General Practice, Dentistry and a trio of Allied markets such as Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Psychology.
How long have you been with HealthEngine:
7 years
Now onto some fun facts… What are your 3 fave apps at the moment? (beyond HealthEngine, of course!):
- YouTube
- Apple News
- Spotify
Tell us about a HealthEngine project/effort you’re particularly proud of:
Being part of a team that brought on close to 1000 GP clinics in a calendar year (when we were still a young company on the come up) was really cool.
A recent highlight for me has to be the illustrations of resilience shown by a number of my colleagues across challenging and evolving 2020 conditions.
Please share 3 things about your non-work life:
- I’ve been obsessed about aviation since I was a young kid, and I spend a fair bit of time reading and watching aviation-related content.
- I’ve started to research into my family history and will someday visit all the places (little towns and villages) across India and Iran where they came from.
- Sports and music are my 2 things I am equally big on, and they have a constant presence in my “daily doings.”
When borders open, name your dream travel destination:
Dubai & Bombay. Coming from a large and very close family, we travel a a lot to see each other regularly. Regular visits to both these locations is a requirement for me.
To wrap this up, let’s end with some personal recommendations:
- Black Coffee (DJ from South Africa) who’s blending EDM, African Tribal sounds and RnB-ish vocals – a fabulous talent.
- Sebastian Maniscalco – A great standup comic from Chicago who reminds me a little of Andrew Dice Clay. His special “Aren’t you Embarrassed” is good old fashioned honest comedy.
- Stanford Graduate School’s YouTube Channel has some really engaging guests doing keynotes and interviews (Oxford Union is good one too).
- David Letterman’s Netflix series has to be the best “talk show” product in a long long time. There are some really great interviews there, across all the seasons.
