What type of patient requests will be part of Express Care?
Medical Certificates is the first in the Express Care product suite to land and is available now. As well as bringing your patients all the convenience of requesting Medical Certificates for work, school, university and carer’s leave online without an appointment, it allows your practitioners to securely and quickly respond to requests at their convenience, freeing up their calendar to see more patients.
And we’re just getting started. We’re busy working on improvements to Repeat Scripts right now, with new product releases in the pipeline for more repeat request options, like repeat referrals and repeat pathology requests, all coming soon to Express Care.
Can I choose which Express Care products I use?
Absolutely! You can pick and choose by switching on the Express Care products your practice and patients need and switching off those you don’t. The Express Care suite is included as part of the GP Complete bundle, just be aware there is a payment processing fee of 30c + 1.75% including GST for approved Medical Certificates, which practices can choose to pass on to their patients. Do I need a specific Practice Management Software (PMS) to get Express Care?
Express Care is available to practices using Best Practice and MedicalDirector Pracsoft with more integrations as well as non-integrated options being built now. Talk to our friendly team today to find out more about your options for Express Care.
Is there a charge for the new Medical Certificates product?
Medical Certificates comes included in our GP Complete bundle, plus transaction fees for approved requests. There’s a payment processing fee of 30c + 1.75% including GST for approved Medical Certificates, which practices can choose to pass on to their patients.
When enhanced Repeat Scripts and new repeat request products join the Express Care suite soon, Healthengine expects to introduce a booking fee at that time for approved repeat requests, which we expect practices to pass on in full to their patients.
As a Healthengine customer, how can I inform my existing patients about Express Care?
We’ve got you covered. Head to the Resources Section in Practice Admin to download a collection of in-practice marketing assets and collateral you can use to promote Express Care to your patients, starting with Medical Certificates. We also recommend using Healthengine’s Communicate add-on to send existing patients bulk SMS messages, letting them know of your new Medical Certificate services.
How do patients submit Medical Certificate requests?
There are two ways patients can easily submit Medical Certificates requests from your practice, either via your website or through your Healthengine profile. When your practice activates and onboards the product, a button is automatically created and placed on your Healthengine practice profile. The patient is then required to click this button to start the request process. For your website, Healthengine supports practices by adding a link to the Medical Certificate request form that can be directly displayed on your website.
