How does Patient Match compare to other providers?

HealthEngine is the only provider that offers a Patient Match product – all other providers rely on you generating traffic to your own website and only providing a way to capture the booking from there.

HealthEngine has a unique healthcare directory that sees over 2.2 million users searching to find a healthcare provider. The ability to also publish your available appointments to this active market is a huge benefit to both patients and your practice.

 

What is the difference between Patient Match and the HealthEngine Online Booking System?

Patient Match is displaying your practice’s appointments on healthengine.com.au and incurs a cost for acquisition of a patient, based on the marketing HealthEngine does to acquire that patient for you.

The HealthEngine Online Booking System sits on your practice website and it requires you to generate traffic (leads) and thus why we do not charge for new patients fees through your own patient lead generation to your website.

 

Why is Patient Match not part of Booking 360?

Although Patient Match uses the Appointment Connector to take the bookings and sync these into your PMS (for integrated practices), this product is not considered a utility product such as the Online Booking System, Recalls and Reminders [Booking 360]. Patient Match, instead, is considered a marketing product and practices should therefore assign this product to being part of their marketing strategy to attract new and retain existing patients.

 

How does Patient Match compare to other forms of marketing?

Average acquisition costs can inflate based on competition and location with other forms of marketing including newspaper, flyers/mail drops, radio and search engine marketing. With Patient Match you have a fixed referral fee for only new patients. As it is a pay for performance model – there is zero wasted costs and zero risk.

With mail drops and flyer production, it is hard to track accurately what your return on investment (ROI), however, with Patient Match you can easily see the amount spent on new patient referrals and both the instant ROI plus calculate the lifetime value of those patients.

Unlike traditional forms of advertising, Patient Match only incurs a fee when a new patient is successfully delivered to your practice.

 

How can I review my bookings results?

When you are a HealthEngine customer, you instantly have secure access to your own Practice Admin where you can get an overview of your practice performance, check your bookings and manage multiple products such as Recalls and Reminders.

In the bookings tab, you will be able to view the patient initials, booking time, appointment time, if they are new or existing with your practice and can also instantly process new patients that did-not-attend so that you do not incur a new patient referral fee.

 

How do I get a new login for my practice admin?

To create a new login for a user at your practice, simply log into your Practice Admin and head to your profile icon (top right) and select Logins & Permissions from the drop down menu.

Enter the email address and then send invite. That person can then click on the link and create a password to use for future logins.
